It is also a skillet, fry pan, and saute pan- this great little pan could quickly become your most versatile, most used pan. If you are making an omelette, 3 eggs will fit perfectly in the pan. The heavy gauge hard anodized aluminum construction guarantees great even heating throughout. The 3ply nonstick finish ensures that everything will just slip out of the pan- you don't even need to use fats or oils (but if you can it will great enhance the flavor). The Calphalon exclusive nonstick finish is guaranteed to never chip or peel, but always use nylon or wood utensils to protect the surface from scratches. This pan like all Contemporary Nonstick can go in the oven to 450 degrees. The "arch vent" handle resists heat and keeps the handle cool to the touch on the stovetop. Clean your Contemporary Nonstick with a "Dobie" pad (nylon mesh covered sponge) and warm sudsy water, the exterior only can be cleaned with Comet/Ajax and a scotchbrite pad.
